Tragedy Strikes Southern France

It is hard to explain how tragic this moment is.

This was my last jar.
Although I didn't actually lick it clean...I did use a rubber spatula to capture every last  bit.

I haven't been able to throw away the carcass.
I'm still clinging to memories.
(and there is a tiny bit of peanut butter still clinging to the jar!)

Perhaps it's time to move on?!?

  3. You can get peanut butter here, you can even get Skippy in some branches of Carrouf and Intermarche (here in Montpellier at least).

It all depends on whether there's a good US/Brit community. Aix is crawling with us, surely!

  4. Well, we are close to Easter, you can always hope in resurrection...

  5. We can get Skippy in Intermarche in Saint Paul Trois Chateaux in the Drome, there isn't much of an expat community here at all (as far as I'm aware, don't actually live here) but its popular in the summer... Hope you can get your hands on some!

ps. Has been a while since I stopped by as have not had regular internet connexion but I love the new look to your blog!

  7. You are a woman after my own heart. Skippy Super Chunk rules. If I were coming to visit Europe again this April, I would bring you several jars. In the menatime, my advice is to treat yourself to some Crepes a Go Go and try to forget Skippy. :-)

  8. When I wrote my list of things I missed while in France, peanut butter was on that list! High on the list.

I'd be sniffing that jar like an addict.

(Eats the Reese's Peanut Butter Egg in one giant bite.)

  9. Been there. It's not pretty. I'll bring you peanut butter. Chunky or smooth? Don't they sell PB in Aix? xx

  14. I have Skippy here in England, but what I sorely miss is Kraft peanut butter, which is my favourite.

  15. Should I bring a jar back for you from my upcoming trip to the US? Cause that one's looking just a bit empty...

  16. And another post where I wonder how you are thinking my thoughts!

I kept the carcass of my last jar of peanut butter for a few months. Aie!

I know we can get here at some exorbitant price, but there's something about getting it from the homeland. One of the few things I bring back with me from the States! :)
